International cooperation
Types of undertaken activities are primarily official visits of representatives of local authorities and officials, cooperation of schools and other educational institutions, joint projects, cooperation of non-governmental organizations, cultural and sports exchange, that is the priority areas of international cooperation.
International cooperation enables supporting the local government in the following areas:
• creating opportunities for international exchange for residents
• promotion abroad
• transfer of good practices from foreign local government units to local ground
• the possibility of applying for funds from Polish, European and international programs
• development of knowledge and competences of officials of the unit and officials from the partner unit through constant exchange.

Participants of international cooperation conducted by the City of Kalisz are departments of the City Hall, most often: the Department of Culture and Arts, Sport and Tourism and the Department of Social and Housing Affairs.
There are also City's organizational units taking part in the exchange projects: the Kalisz Philharmonic Orchestra, the Water Tower Gallery, the Jan Tarasin Art Gallery, Youth Culture Center, the Orphanage and schools at all levels.
The City of Kalisz supports exchanges of non-governmental organizations, foundations, associations and sport clubs as well.
