On the same occasion, on Friday, November 19th in Hamm, in the city center at Nordenwall Street, an elm was planted. The planting was attended by the mayor Marc Herter and representatives of the associations that funded the tree: the Hamm International Club, the Bridge of Culture association and the Hamm Historical Society.
In short words, the founders emphasized that both trees serve as monuments commemorating the past 30 years, but as living plants they express hope for further partnership cooperation.
