Wojciech Bogusławski Theater in Kalisz (Teatr im. Wojciecha Bogusławskiego w Kaliszu)
The third theater building in the history of our city. After the razing of the city by German armies during World War I, the new theater was erected in 1936, after 20 years of construction. Its neo-classical architecture and picturesque location on the banks of the Prosna River and at the top of the beautiful Aleja Wolności make not only fans of major theater productions, but also painters, photographers and graphic artists fall in love with the Kalisz theater. It's also home to Kaliskie Spotkania Teatralne (Kalisz Theater Meetings) - an annual theater festival, the oldest one in Poland.
