City Celebration in an international group

Representatives of eight twin cities and friendly cities visited Kalisz on the occasion of the Kalisz City Festival. Representatives of: Hamm (Germany), Preston (Great Britain), La Louvière (Belgium), Martin (Slovakia), Dijk en Waard (Netherlands), Hautmont (France), Kamieniec Podolski (Ukraine) and Lovecz (Bulgaria) came to the town on Prosna.

On Friday, on the occasion of the 25th anniversary of city cooperation of the City of Kalisz and Martin, the representatives of them jointly planted a tree in the Friendship Park. Representatives of partner cities visited Kalisz, a multimedia exhibition in the town hall and the Tadeusz Kulisiewicz Secondary School of Fine Arts. They also took part in the opening of the yard at Parczewski Street, revitalized with the participation of young people. In the evening, the guests participated in the ceremonial Session of the Kalisz City Council.
The Saturday program of the visit included, among others visiting the building of the former prison and participation in the 27th European Shooting for the Silver Lily of St. Joseph with charity target shooting for Kamieniec Podolski. In the evening, during the enthronization of the Kalisz King of the Brotherhood of the Rooster, guests from Ukraine received a commemorative target with the collected amount of PLN 3,000.
With a cultural touch - a concert of the Kalisz Philharmonic Symphony Orchestra - foreign guests ended their visit to Kalisz.
