Erasmus for kindergartens

Representatives of kindergartens from Kalisz, Martin in Slovakia, Daruvar in Croatia and Jičin in the Czech Republic participated in the first meeting of the educational project "Show me my city" as part of the ERASMUS + program.

The partner cities - Kalisz and Martin as part of the ERASMUS program are implementing the project "Show me my city". The project started on 1/10/2019 and will last until 31/05/2021.
The first meeting took place from November 5 to 9 this year. in Martin. It was attended by representatives of Public Kindergarten No. 9 in Kalisz: director Agnieszka Przybyłowska, teachers Agata Bartczak and Natalia Warszowska and Agnieszka Tomaszewska, representative of the City Hall of Kalisz. During the visit, three kindergartens from Martin presented Slovak folklore performed by the youngest and regional dishes and handicrafts.

The "Show me my city" project is addressed to teachers, principals and kindergarten teachers, representatives of bodies running educational, youth and cultural institutions. According to the assumptions, the effect of the project will be to organize an artistic competition, post-competition exhibition and release of a calendar with the best works, development of regional education classes for children, creation of an educational game, recording of films presenting the most interesting places in the city.

The next meeting of the project will take place in Kalisz, in the first days of April. Our city will be visited by 16 representatives of Slovak, Czech and Croatian kindergartens. One of the tasks of the participants will be to create a video tour proposal "Best places in my city", applicable to all institutions involved. Suggestions will include detailed information, such as the date of the competition, recording time, number of children involved in the recording, number of scenes presented, age categories, etc.

In addition to getting to know the work of Kalisz kindergartens and getting to know the city, participants will also take part in the "Health Week" planned at that time. They will also learn about Polish traditions related to Easter and Kalisz fairy tales and legends.
