Kalisz in the European Parliament
At the invitation of Marlena Maląg, Member of the European Parliament, the “Kopernik” choir, led by Maria Szczap, along with the music ensemble from III Liceum Ogólnokształcące [High School no. 3 in Kalisz], performed a concert in Brussels on December 2. The varied repertoire included both poetic and pop pieces, Polish and international alike. The concert was set against a backdrop prepared by the Office of the Mayor, featuring an exhibition highlighting the city’s attractions, historical sites, cultural and sporting events, and, above all, its rich potential.
It is a great honor that we can present Kalisz today in the most important place for every European citizen. The talented young people who share their musical passion with you today are excellent ambassadors not only for our city but also for our country. I invite you to Kalisz, which is a unique city - you can see this for yourself in the exhibition prepared for this occasion, said Mayor Krystian Kinastowski.
The event was attended by invited guests, including Members of the European Parliament. The delegation from III Liceum Ogólnokształcące in Kalisz was also present, as were representatives of the Hautmont-Kalisz partnership committee.
The event was organized in cooperation with III Liceum Ogólnokształcące in Kalisz and the Office of the Mayor of Kalisz.
The exhibition can be viewed for a week at the European Parliament in Brussels.
