Kamieniec's new authorities

Mykhailo Positko became the new mayor of the partner Kamieniec Podolski. He thus replaced Mykhailo Simashkevych, who ran for the Kamieniec Regional Council and serves as its chairman.

On October 25, the inhabitants of Kamieniec Podolski elected new authorities and councilors. There were seven candidates for the mayor's position, and a second round was required for the final election. After another vote on November 15, Mykhailo Positko from the All-Ukrainian Union "Freedom" became the new mayor.

Today the swearing-in ceremony of the new host of Kamieniec Podoslki and 39 councilors took place. Mykhailo Positko took the oath in front of the office building, in the presence of the town's inhabitants. The second part of the session took place in the meeting room.

Mykhailo Wołodymirowicz Positko comes from Kamieniec Podolski and is 35 years old. From 2015, he was a councilor of the City Council and chairman of the city branch of the All-Ukrainian Union "Freedom". Under his leadership, the organization raised millions of hryvnia to help the army, the poor, build churches, organize activities for children, renovate schools and art studios. In the city council, he was the most active councilor in terms of the number of interpellations, speeches and draft resolutions. He was the originator of open council meetings (on-line broadcasts). Known for organizing large-scale human rights activities. He will perform the function of the mayor for the next 5 years.
