La Louvière in mourning

Krystian Kinastowski sent expressions of sympathy and regret - on behalf of the entire community of our city - to Jacques Gobert, mayor of La Louvière. In these difficult times, we support our bereaved friends in Belgium.

Yesterday in La Louvière, a speeding car left with a group of residents having fun at the festival. Six people are killed, thirty-seven are injured. The tragedy, the causes of which are yet to be established, affected the entire city.

Dear Mr Gobert,

It is with great sadness that we received the information about the dramatic events that took place on Sunday morning, March 20th, in La Louviere.
These events turned the traditional time of joyful celebration and carefree play, important for the La Louviere community, into a time of sorrow and mourning.
The local government of Kalisz, the entire City Council and the inhabitants of the oldest Polish city are shocked by this tragedy.
May this letter, addressed to the you, Mr Gobert, and through you to all the people of La Louviere with whom we have ties of friendship, be an expression of our regret, sympathy and solidarity with the families of the victims and all residents of La Louviere.
Please accept our condolences.
