Students from Hamm pay a visit to the Mayor of Kalisz

A group of students from the Hammonense Junior High School in Hamm today visited Mayor Grzegorz Sapiński. This year is the 25th anniversary of youth exchanges between Kalisz and the German partner of the city.

A group of fifteen German youth together with two carers came to Kalisz last Friday, with Polish partners from the First High School Adam Asnyk to visit the oldest Polish city and jointly implement previously planned projects. This year, young people inspired even the celebration of the year of the patron of the school at Grodzka 1. Hence the idea for a joint translation of several poet's works into German. Today, Polish and German youth visited Mayor Grzegorz Sapiński. - I am always happy to meet our friends from Hamm - says Mr Sapiński. - Our German partners are very open, friendly and hospitable people. The 25th anniversary of our youth exchanges is telling. It proves that we feel good with each other, understand each other, and are able to cooperate. Young people from Hamm today praised Kalisz, our hospitality and cuisine. Such opinions that go into the world make extremely happy.

This is the last day of German youth's stay in Kalisz. Tomorrow morning our partners from Hamm return to their hometown.
