The Polish-German orchestra played in Hamm

Another activity within the cultural cooperation of the partner cities of Kalisz and Hamm was crowned with a concert of an orchestra composed of students from music schools of both cities, which took place in Kurhaus Bad Hamm as part of the project "100th anniversary of film music".

The concert received with great applause will long be remembered by a 500-strong audience.  The mayor of the City of Hamm, Thomas Hunsteger-Petermann, present at the concert, who was speaking after the song played for an encore, expressed his admiration for young, talented musicians who, having little time for rehearsals, played songs requiring many skills from well-known films such as professional musicians of the symphony orchestra. He emphasized the importance of cultural cooperation between Kalisz and Hamm.
The head of the Department of Culture and Arts, Sport and Tourism Grażyna Dziedziak on behalf of the President of the City of Kalisz Krystian Kinastowski expressed joy at the implementation of the project and its extraordinary value, which was noticed and appreciated by the prestigious prize of Rycheza of the Land of North Rhine-Westphalia for special contributions to the development of Polish-German relations. She also mentioned the long tradition of cultural cooperation, and also invited listeners to the next concert in Hamm of the "Ensamble Friederic" by the Kalisz Philharmonic on October 20.
Director of the H. Melcer State Music School  in Kalisz, Maria Pawelec, emphasized the importance of music in the integration of young people and how great joy was it for students to make music together.
The youth orchestra also played in the neighboring city of Lippstadt.
The joint project of music schools will remain in the memory of its participants for a long time because of the unusual atmosphere and friendship made.
