On culture, revitalization and health in Hamm
Vice President Grzegorz Kulawinek and Grażyna Dziedziak, head of the Department of Culture and Art, Sport and Tourism talked about this year's and next year's cultural ventures: an exhibition of works by Anna Bakow and Osman Bol in Galeria Tarasina and the unveiling of a mural that will be created in cooperation with Wojciech Brewka from Kalisz and Tanja Prill from Hamm in June, as well as about the concert of the Ensemble Frédéric Kalisz Philharmonic in Hamm this autumn and the organization of the exhibition of artists from Kalisz in Hamm in 2020.
During a working meeting at the Municipal Music School in Hamm, Maria Pawelec, director of the State Music School in Kalisz and Philipp Marquardt, head of the accordion section prepared and signed a joint application for funding the project of Polish-German workshops crowned with a concert, both in Kalisz and Hamm, which will take place in this year.
Izabela Grześkiewicz, head of the Revitalization Office of the City of Kalisz, had the opportunity to learn about the latest activities of the City of Hamm, aimed at developing the city in new directions. There are plans to build a new district at the bank of the canal and connect it with the city center. Model apartments offer intelligent solutions for the elderly and less fit. Another important topic discussed during the visit was the revitalization of the western part of the city.
Dr Arkadiusz Janiak, dean of the Faculty of Rehabilitation and Sport PWSZ met with a representative of the Hamm-Lippe College, with whom the Kalisz university signed a cooperation agreement a few years ago. He also visited the modern day rehabilitation center Reha Bad Hamm, which conducts rehabilitation in the field of orthopedics, cardiology, neurology and oncology and includes patients with medical, social and dietary care for 3 weeks from 8.00 to 16.00, also providing patient transport from home to the center and return transport.
