Kalisz - the oldest Polish city

Kalisia, as one of the places on the a...mber route, was mentioned for the first time in the work of the Alexandrian scholar Ptolemy II in the 2nd century A.D. According to the scholars, Kalisia of Ptolemy can be identified with today’s Kalisz. Thanks to that Kalisz can be seen as the city with the oldest written record in Polish history. -
